Enables checking of the oil level within the engine using the dipstick includes a seal to prevent the oil becoming contaminated. Depending on the design of the engine, sump volume and application engine models require different design of dipstick, so it is important to have the right length of dipstick and position. Colored handle for easy easy to read level indicator and easy recognition. Remember to let the oil settle with the engine off, on level ground for 5 to 10 minutes before checking the oil level. Under filling is as bad as overfilling, always maintain the oil level according to the Perkins Operation and Maintenance Manual.
